Save the planet One Laptop at a Time

The amount of e-waste in landfill is growing at an alarming rate. In 2014, the United Nations Environment Programmed (UNEP) estimated that 41.8 million tonnes of electronic waste was generated globally.

About Us

I’m not going to bore you with the facts on global warming and the dying planet we are leaving for our kids, but if I can enlist myself and others to recycle their throw away laptops and some electronics instead of sending to land fill.
Nonworking Laptops recycled some 1700 laptops and are aiming for well over the 2000 this year, but that’s where you come in as I/we can’t do it alone.
Just one fact is that over 7,000 are put into landfill every day that’s over 48,000 per week worldwide.

Recycle, Re-use Resale

Recycle

ecycle: We take the non working Laptop and test for power, hard-drives, Ram, Screen, then we put it up on eBay and sold as is.

Re-used

Test for working ability and a hard-drive, Ram, the clean and to a working state and when it’s ready it’s donated to some one who is needing one who can’t afford to buy one.

Resale

Is when the laptop is too far gone to be recycled or refurbished we strip it down and sell them as parts so other people use them.

THE HIDDEN TRUTH

The power stations in Australia are not what they seem. They are not just a source of electricity, but also a source of pollution and death. The truth is that these power stations are killing us slowly, and we need to do something about it.

Hazardous Materials in Electronics

When it comes to electronics, it’s like playing toxic material bingo – lead, mercury, brominated flame retardants, you name it. These nasties not only harm the environment but also pose risks to human health. Time to clean up our act!

Current State of Electronic Waste

Just how bad is the electronic waste situation, you ask? Brace yourself. According to the United Nations, a whopping 53.6 million metric tons of electronic waste was generated globally in 2019, with only 17.4% of it being recycled. That’s like throwing away a perfectly good slice of pizza instead of sharing it with a hungry friend. Shameful, right?
